DSM Commences New Waste Water Treatment Plant in Zhangjiakou    

On June 17th DSM and Zhangjiakou Pharmaceutical Corporation celebrated the tenth anniversary of their partnership and announced the official opening of the waste water treatment plant within the grounds of its joint venture factory, which is part of the "Sustainable Development and Planned Industrial Use of Capital Water Resources" project.
    The past decade of co-operation between DSM and Zhangjiakou Pharmaceutical Corporation has seen an effective integration of DSM's international experience and advanced technologies with Zhangjiakou Pharmaceutical Corporation's local knowledge and resources, resulting in a joint venture company that is now a world-class production base for anti-infective. The JV exports annually US$38 million of its products.
    The new waste water treatment plant with a total investment of more than RMB20 million uses aerobic activated sludge with DSM provided. The project can treat with 3 500 m3 of waste water with a COD emission concentration of no more than 300 mg/L after the treatment.
