Curb Exports of Aluminum Products

According to Jia Mingxing, Secretary-General of China Nonferrous Metal Industry Association, on May 29th, China is considering to take measures to control exports of aluminum products with low added value to curb the expansion of the upstream aluminum smelting capacity.
The export trend of aluminum products is being closely followed by the association, but the specific timetable for the policy readjustment is not yet defined.
The state's industrial policy defines that the production of aluminum products should exert to meet the domestic demand. Any excessive production would bring pressure on energy supply and mineral reserves in China.
Nonferrous metal enterprises in China are planning to conclude more acquisition deals.
