LANXESS Greens Up the Everyday

LANXESS, as part of the celebration for this year's World Environmental Day (WED) on June 5th, is promoting a commitment to go green among its employees across the Asia Pacific region. Joining LANXESS staff in India, Japan, Korea, Singapore and Vietnam, employees from LANXESS Greater China are marking the occasion by dressing in green and pledging their commitment to environmental protection on canvas boards, which will be framed and displayed in LANXESS offices across Asia.
Mr. Wang Yongli, President of LANXESS Greater China, commented, "As a vanguard in the environmental protection field, LANXESS has continuously endeavored to positively impact the environment with groundbreaking innovations, environmentally friendly products, and energy efficient manufacturing processes."
LANXESS's initiative is in line with government efforts to curb the use of plastic bags in a bid to reduce pollution emissions and energy consumption. Beginning from June 1st, all Chinese retailers, including supermarkets, department stores and grocery stores, are banned from providing free plastic shopping bags.
