Announcement of Spandex Antidumping Case    

On May 22nd the Ministry of Commerce announced that TK Chemical Corporation of Korea will replace TongKook Corporation for the antidumping tax of 2.86% in the spandex (HS codes: 54024920 and 54026920) antidumping case. The antidumping tax of 61.00% to other Korean companies is applicable to products from TongKook Corporation. The measure is effective May 23rd, 2008.
   On October 13th, 2006 the Ministry of Commerce launched a dumping investigation into the import of spandex originated from the United States, Korea, Japan, Singapore and Taiwan Province. (CCR2006, No. 30)
