BASF Sells Shanxi Kaolin Production Site    

BASF has sold its kaolin production company BASF Minerals Product (Shanxi), Ltd., located in Shuozhou, Shanxi province, to Mr. Lincoln Cao, the former BASF General Manager of the company. The transaction closed on April 30th, 2008.
   The Shanxi site was acquired as part of BASF's acquisition of Engelhard Corporation in 2006 and was the smallest of BASF's kaolin production sites. BASF will continue to provide the marketplace with high quality kaolin from its operations in the United States.
