Xinfu Pharmaceutical Saw 26 Times Increase of Net Profit     

Zhejiang Xinfu Pharmaceutical Company Ltd. (SZ: 002019) announced on February 19th  that owing to the rapid rebound price of vitamin B5 and the increase of output and sales of vitamin B5 and D-panthenol, the company accomplished an operating revenue of RMB764.74 million in 2007, an increase of 119.76% over the previous year. The net profit was RMB240.1893 million, an increase of 2651.38%. The earning per-share was RMB1.26.
   The company has set a target of the main-business revenue being RMB808.10 million for 2008, and putting RMB45.0 million in research and development. The company will further strengthen the fine chemical business and accelerate the second-phase project of full-biodegradable new material PBS (polybutylenes succinate) to start the large-scale production as soon as possible.
