Anhui Treats with Pollutants in Waters     

According to report by the Environmental Protection Bureau of Anhui province, Anhui will make an investment of RMB11 billion during 2006-2010 to treat with the pollution in the Cao Lake and the Huai River, both located in the province.
   It is defined in the program formulated by Anhui for treating with the pollution in the Huai River and the Cao Lake that 98 projects will be executed in areas of the Huai River and the total investment is nearly RMB4.0 billion. There are 39 projects for the control of industrial polluting sources, 38 projects for the treatment of urban sewage and 21 projects for the pollution control in major areas.
   Fifty-six projects will be executed in areas of the Cao Lake and the total investment is RMB7.0 billion. There are 19 projects for the control of industrial polluting sources, 12 projects for the treatment of urban sewage and 25 projects for the comprehensive control.
