Honeywell Process Solutions Highlights Business Performance and Innovation

On April 3rd, 2008 Honeywell (NYSE: HON) held its annual media gathering in Beijing for the Honeywell Process Solutions group.  The event theme was "Serving China through Innovation." Thomas Liu, managing director for Honeywell Process Solutions China, provided a business overview for industrial media representatives in attendance.
    Liu presented Honeywell Process Solutions' notable achievements in China for 2007. These achievements include the establishment of Honeywell (China) Advanced Solutions Co., Ltd. and the company's first global engineering service center in China that offers service for local and international customers, as well as system engineering services for Honeywell branches in South Korea and Japan.
    In addition, Liu highlighted key industrial projects Honeywell Process Solutions won in 2007, including a process and quality control systems project for Nine Dragons Paper (Holding) Ltd., China's largest containerboard producer, and an automation control solution project for Puguang Gas Field, China's largest gas field.
    Liu also told CCR that Honeywell achieved global annual sales of US$34.6 billion last year, a rise of around 11%, and in China, its annual sales reached over US$1.0 billion, an increase of around 25%.
    Honeywell Process Solutions helps promote China's economic progress and helps the nation address industrial issues such as environmental protection and energy conservation.
    "We experienced great progress in China in 2007 with our new engineering service center, continued adoption of our award-winning Experion(R ) Process Knowledge System and the launch of our innovative OneWireless(R )solution," said Liu. "Our broad solutions and services portfolio uniquely positions us to continue helping Chinese manufacturers in process industries enhance performance, become safer and operate more reliably and efficiently."  
   In 2008, Honeywell Process Solutions China will promote its Integrated Main Automation Contractor approach, while continuing to drive adoption of its leading field instrumentation, control and safety systems, advanced applications and lifecycle management services that deliver business value for Chinese process manufacturers.
