China Coatings Industry Benefits through Bayer's 2nd Research Paper Contest

Bayer MaterialScience launches the 2nd Raw Material Application Research Paper for 2008-2009. Building on the success of last year's contest, with hundreds of high quality research papers collected, the company will encourage young and aspiring Chinese researchers to think creatively about water-borne and UV coatings, as well as solvent-borne products to be used in new applications.
   "Bayer MaterialScience is committed to contributing to the Chinese coatings industry that is experiencing an exciting and unparalleled period of growth," said Li Xilin, Head of the Business Unit Coatings, Adhesives and Specialties for Bayer MaterialScience Greater China, "Together with our partners we believe that through the 2nd Raw Material Application Research Paper Contest, young talent can help strengthen the China coatings industry whilst also contributing by making it even more environmental friendly, " Mr. Li added.
   The initiative has received the support of prestigious organizations such as the China Academy of Science & Technology, the Chengdu Waterborne Research Center, the Changzhou Paint & Coatings Industry Research Institute and the Marine Research Institute of Chemical Industry.
