USA Launches 337 Investigation into Acetic Acid      

On February 25th, 2008 in response to the application submitted by Celanese International Co., Ltd. the United States launched 337 investigation into acetic acid.
   China's Jiangsu Sopo (Group) Corporation and its subsidiaries are involved in the case. The company is located in Zhenjiang of Jiangsu province and produces 500 000 tons of acetic acid a year.
   Celanese opened an integrated chemical complex with an acetic acid capacity of 600 000 t/a in Nanjing of Jiangsu last September. (CCR2007, No. 27)
