Innovative Technology Helps Safeguard Water Resources

On March 17th, 2008 the "inspired use of world class technology" will help China's water industry meet the goal of managing and developing the Country's water resources, according to Dow Water Solutions, a business unit of the Dow Chemical Company.
Looking ahead to China's Water Week from March 22nd to 28th, Niann-Tsyr Yuen, Dow Water Solutions' Asia Pacific membrane product marketing manager, said: "Maintaining and enhancing water resources play a significant role in protecting people's lives and livelihoods. When you apply human creativity and ingenuity to the inspired use of world class technology, major barriers can be overcome."
He described how in 2007, reverse osmosis (RO) membranes from Dow were installed at three Beijing wastewater reclamation and water reuse facilities, helping treat 45 000 m3 of water per day, the largest volume of municipal waste water in Olympic-related projects in Beijing.
Dow Water Solutions has just been rated as one of the best suppliers of water treatment equipment in China, according to the 2007 water industry customer survey by ChinaWater (http://www.h2o-china.com), a leading internet portal dedicated to the Chinese water sector.
