Tongzi Coal Chemical Facility Select GE's Gasification Technology   

Guizhou Jinchi Chemical Co., Ltd. has selected GE Energy's gasification technology for a coal hemical production facility in Tongzi County, Guizhou province.
   Guizhou Jinchi Chemical will soon start construction of the coal chemical project in Tongzi. The company will use GE's gasification technology to produce syngas, which in turn will be used to produce chemicals at Tongzi site.
   GE has licensed 32 projects for its gasification technology since mid-1970s, including the Tongzi facility.
   Guizhou Jinchi Chemical will construct 300 000 t/a synthetic ammonia, 200 000 t/a methanol, 520 000 t/a urea and 200 000 t/a compound fertilizer projects as well as power generation and utilities, following the approval by Guizhou Development & Reform Commission. (CCR2007 No. 11, No. 36)
   Guizhou Jinchi Chemical is a joint venture, its 50% ownership held by Guizhou Chitianhua Co., Ltd. (SH: 600277) which is a leading fertilizer producer in Guizhou province across China.
