GD Power Signs Carbon Dioxide Emission Reduction Agreement      

GD Power Development Co., Ltd. (SH: 600795) announced on January 22nd, 2008 that it has signed a carbon dioxide emission reduction agreement with SSE Energy Supply of Britain.
    According to the agreement, the company will transfer about 1.8 million tons of Certified Emission Reductions (CERs) generated by its windmill power projects with an agreed amount around Euro18 million before December 31st, 2012.
    After deducting related expenses, the company will obtain additional RMB0.09-0.10 /kwh of gains from its wind-driven power projects, GD Power said.
    However, the company noted that relevant wind driven power projects are at the preliminary stage and they haven't got official verification yet.
