Xinxiang Chemical Fiber Starts up Spandex Project      

The 5 000 t/a differential spandex renovation project of Xinxiang Chemical Fiber Co., Ltd. (SZ: 000949) was recently completed and went on stream in Xinxiang, Henan province. The company's production capacity of spandex reaches 8 000 t/a today.
   Besides, the Board of Directors of the company has decided to execute a waste water comprehensive utilization renovation project in order to improve the economic performance and achieve the sustainable development. The project has got the approval from Henan Development & Reform Commission. The investment of the project is RMB35 million and will be raised by the company itself. Construction is expected to be started in December 2007 and the project will be completed and go on stream in June 2008. The execution of the project will help the company reduce the emission of waste water, minimize the consumption of water for production and make the recycling of zinc sulfate and sulfuric acid in waste water. The profit will be added by RMB7.28 million a year for the company.
