Ankang Zhongxin Launches Bio-Diesel Project     

On October 25th, 2007 Ankang Zhongxin Bio-Diesel Co., Ltd. started the construction work on 300 000 t/a bio-diesel project in Ankang, Shaanxi province.
   Bio-diesel is a regenerative energy produced with oil-bearing plants or animal grease as raw materials. It is an excellent substitute for diesel processed from crude oil.
   After completion of the project, the output value will be added by RMB3 billion for the company.
   Ankang is China's major woody oil crops production base with potential cultivated area of around 1.07 million hectares, and has a unique resource advantage for the development of biomass energy sector.
