Environmental Supervision on Exporters Strengthened      

The Ministry of Commerce and the State Environmental Protection Administration have jointly issued a notice to strengthen the environmental supervision on exporters.
   Most exporters implement environmental protection laws and regulations and care for environmental protection. Some enterprises, however, make sewage emission in violation of regulations or beyond standard or beyond total amount so as to reduce the export cost. In this way the pressure of environment is increased, products are exported but pollution is retained. Besides, the price of export products can not truly reflect the cost, trade frictions are aggravated, the irrational growth of the trade favorable balance is increased and the reputation of Chinese products is harmed.
   The Ministry of Commerce and the Sate Environmental Protection Administration will strengthen the environmental supervision on exporters, and intensify the publicity and training of environmental protection laws, regulations and policies for exporters.
