Chery Vehicles from China Feature Hostaform POM Components

The Chinese automobile market is currently experiencing a major boom. Experts predict that the number of cars sold there per year will already top 10 million by 2010, up from 7.2 million vehicles in 2006. A large share of these cars is manufactured in China, including those of the ambitious automaker "Chery". The manufacturer now has its cars' fuel pump cover made of Hostaform POM from Ticona, opening up a highly promising market for the German polymer specialists.
A pump located inside the fuel tank supplies the engine with the required quantity of fuel. Made of Hostaform, this pump's cover must withstand extreme conditions throughout the life of the automobile. That's why they feature long-lasting resistance to a variety of fuels - even at (long-term) temperature ranges as low as -40 degree centigrade and as high as 80 degree centigrade.
