New Fungicide Propamidine

New fungicide propamidine developed by Northwest A & F University has won two invention patents of the state. The product has high control effect on gray mold of crops and also features small consumption, low cost and safe use.
The university has already constructed a pilot production line with a production capacity of 10 t/a propamidine technical and 200 t/a propamidine formulation.
Gray mold has become the major disease of vegetables and developed resistance to conventional fungicides. When the consumption is 90-180g per hectare, propamidine can effectively control gray mold bacteria in tomato, cucumber and strawberry and the rate of control can reach more than 80%.
