1.0 million t/a PVC Project Kicks off      

On September 26th, 2007 the first-phase of 1.0 million t/a PVC (polyvinyl chloride) and 720 000 t/a ionic membrane caustic soda project, jointly funded by Sichuan Hanlong Group and Baotou Menghan Industry Co., Ltd., was launched in Tumoteyou, Baotou, Inner Mongolia.
   The project will be executed in three phases with an investment of around RMB7.2 billion. The first-phase of the project has investment of RMB2.0 billion and includes 200 000 t/a PVC unit, 150 000 t/a ionic membrane caustic soda unit and matching facilities.
    After the completion of the whole project, the sales revenue is expected to reach RMB10.0 billion a year.
