3M Supports China Freshwater Conservation Project

On October 9th, 2007 Fortune 500 company 3M, famous for its multi-technology platform and practical innovations that continue to improve the daily lives of millions of people, announced that it donated US$1 million to Conservation International Foundation (CI) and Shan Shui Center for Nature and Society (CI - Shan Shui). The donation will benefit CI and CI - Shan Shui's progressive "Protect Drinking Water Sources, Harmony and Mutual Benefit" freshwater conservation project, based on "Ecological Compensation Mechanisms."
The China freshwater conservation project is another collaborative conservation effort between 3M and CI, and comes after the Forest, Climate, Community and Biodiversity program (FCCB).
