High-Purity Oleic Acid Production Technology     

Xinjiang Technical Institute of Physics & Chemistry, CAS and Xinjiang Fine Chemical Engineering and Technology Research Center have developed the technology for the production of high-purity oleic acid. The content of oleic acid reaches more than 99%.
   High-purity oleic acid is suitable for the use in pharmaceutical, cosmetic, information technology, bioscience research and bioengineering sectors. For example, oleic acid can reduce blood sugar, readjust blood fat and reduce cholesterol and is therefore used as pharmaceutical intermediate. High-purity plant-based oleic acid (with a content of higher than 90%) is also suitable for the use in cleaning agents, perfumes and essences, high-grade lube oil additives and metal processing assistants.
   Using the technology to produce oleic acid can not only remove polyunsaturated fatty acids contained in raw materials but also remove saturated fatty acids. The content of oleic acid can therefore be greatly increased. Oleic acid series products with the content of 90%, 95% and 99% can be provided to relevant enterprises.
