Tianjin 1.0 Million T/A Ethylene Project    

Installation on the PR190 pipeline corridor in the 1.0 million t/a ethylene unit cracker zone, a leading unit of the 1.0 million t/a ethylene project in Sinopec Tianjin Petrochemical Co., Ltd., was recently started. It shows that the foundation work of the 1.0 million t/a ethylene project has been launched in an all-round way.
   The 1.0 million t/a ethylene unit is the core unit of the 1.0 million ethylene integrated project in Sinopec Tianjin Petrochemical Co., Ltd. and also the first 1.0 million t/a ethylene unit constructed by Sinopec Group in China. The unit uses the process technology jointly developed by Sinopec Group and ABB Lummus.
   The ethylene unit is the hub of Tianjin ethylene project. The product will be totally used as basic raw material for 7 related downstream units. The investment of the ethylene unit accounts for around 13.2% of the total investment in the ethylene project and the investment is the highest in all units of the ethylene project. According to the overall planning of the Tianjin ethylene project, the ethylene unit will conduct intermediate handing-over on June 30th, 2009 and started wet commissioning on September 30th, 2009.
