Huayi Plastics Completes BOPP New Production Line

The BOPP (bioriented polypropylene) new production line in Hangzhou Xiaoshan Huayi Plastics Co., Ltd. started production in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province on July 16th, 2007. The project has a total investment of RMB180 million. It is a high-blocking nanometer BOPP new production line introduced from Germany and Britain. After the completion of the project the output of BOPP will be increased by 30 000 tons a year.

Lanbo Chemical Starts Calcium Carbide Expansion Project

Construction on two 60 000 t/a calcium carbide expansion production lines in Hunan Lanbo Chemical Co., Ltd. was started in Hunan Chenxi Huomachong Industrial Park on July 18th, 2007. The project has a total investment of RMB120 million.

Hydrocracking Unit in Changqing Petrochemical Starts Production

The 1.2 million t/a hydrocracking unit in Changqing Petrochemical Company Ltd. was recently completed and went on stream in Xianyang Shaanxi province. It is the core unit of the 5.0 million t/a oil refining expansion project in the company. Construction on the project was started in May 2005. It can provide high-quality diesel and refined chemical raw material naphtha to the west region of China.

Fengxi Completes Calcium Ammonium Nitrate Production Line

The 10 000 t/a calcium ammonium nitrate production line in Shanxi Fengxi Fertilizer (Group) Co., Ltd. recently started production in Yuncheng, Shanxi province. It shows that the first phase of the 100 000 t/a calcium ammonium nitrate project in the company is already completed.

Halogen-Free Flame-Retarding PC Film

Sichuan Mianyang Longhua Film Co., Ltd. has recently introduced new halogen-free flame-retarding PC film, on the basis of its existing flame-retarding PC, flame-retarding PP and single-oriented shrinkage PET films and sheets. The new product conforms to the requirements in European environmental protection regulations such as ROHS, TCO and Blue Angel and strict UL safety codes.
