Bagasses Wood/Plastic Composite Process

The project of "high-performance wood/plastic composite with
bagasses/PVC and HDPE (high density polyethylene) as substrate"
jointly developed by Guangzhou Chemistry Co., Ltd. of CAS and
Guangxi Guigang Ganhua Co., Ltd. passed the research achievement
appraisal organized by Guangxi Science and Technology
Department in Guangzhou.
   The technology uses sugar-making byproduct bagasses as raw
material to produce various types of high-performance
bagasses/PVC and HDPE wood/plastic composite through
pretreatment, surface modification/compatibilization and PVC
and HDPE blending/compounding. The product has the features of
both wood and plastics. It is mainly used as decorative profile,
forming board and abrasion-resistant decoration board in
furniture making, household decoration and building decoration.
A 60 t/a bagasses pretreatment pilot production line and a 150
t/a bagasses/PVC and HDPE wood/plastic composite pilot
production line have already been constructed.
