Guilin Jinshan Kicks off Ultra-fine Calcium Carbonate Project

On July 13th, 2007 construction on the 100 000 t/a ultra-fine
calcium carbonate project was started in Guilin Jinshan Chemical
Industry Co., Ltd. (Guilin Jinshan) located at Tanxia Jinshan
Industry Park, Linshan county, Guangxi of southern China.
  Guilin Jinshan is the largest light calcium carbonate series
products manufacturer in China. The 100 000 t/a ultra-fine
calcium carbonate project as the third-phase project in the
company aims to develop ultra-fine calcium carbonate products
with highly added value. Being different from the common
particle products, ultra-fine calcium carbonate products have
smaller particle, narrower particle distribution, higher
conversion rate, higher purity, and higher whiteness so that
they can be used in many applications.
   The 100 000 t/a ultra-fine calcium carbonate production line
is designed and invested by Guilin Jinshan Chemical Industry Co.,
Ltd. With a total investment of RMB60 million, the production
line is expected to be completed in April 2008.
