JNEG and Risun Coking Launches Coal Chemical Base

A ceremony for launching Hebei coal chemical base jointly funded
by Hebei Jinniu Energy Group Co., Ltd. (JNEG) and Risun Coking
Group was held in Xingtai, Hebei province on June 20th, 2007.
Hebei Coal Chemical Engineering & Technology Research Center
conducted unveiling ceremongy at the same time. It shows that
the 1.1 million t/a town gas based methanol project, the 100 000
t/a crude benzene hydrofining project and the special rail line
project have started all-round execution.
   JNEG is a large coal enterprise in China. It owns 6 mining
areas and 21 production shafts in Hebei and Shanxi provinces.
It is one of the large energy enterprise groups in the coal sector
of China. Risun Coking Group is a large coal coking chemical
enterprise integrating coke production, coal chemical
production and domestic and international trade. Hebei coal
chemical base to be jointly constructed by these two companies
has an investment of RMB380 million in the first phase. The total
planned investment is RMB16.0 billion. The project can achieve
the integrated development of upstream and downstream products
and the mutual complementation of advantages.
   The two companies will also use Hebei Coal Chemical
Engineering & Technology Research Center as the base to
accelerate the R&D and technical innovation of coal chemistry,
introduce and assimilate advanced technologies both at home and
abroad, maximize the processing, transformation and added value
of coal resources and achieve energy conservation, consumption
reduction and comprehensive utilization.
