FMC Breaks Ground Specialty Chemicals Corporation in
Zhangjiagang

On June 29th, 2007 FMC Corporation of the United States broke
ground FMC (Zhangjiagang) Specialty Chemicals Co., Ltd. in
Yangzijiang International Chemical Industry Park, Zhangjiagang,
Jiangsu province. The corporation wholly funded by FMC of the
United States is the first plant of the Lithium Department of
FMC in China.
    As a global chemicals company, FMC Corporation of the United
States owns advanced technologies in pesticides,
pharmaceuticals, food additives and industrial specialty
chemicals sectors, meanwhile it is also the world's leader in
organic lithium filed with high added value. With a total
investment of RMB15 million, FMC (Zhangjiagang) Specialty
Chemicals Co., Ltd. features organic lithium as its main product.
The whole project is expected to be completed in the second
quarter of 2008.
