Explosion in Daqing Petrochemical   
On June 12th, 2007 the reforming workshop got exploded in the
refinery of CNPC Daqing Petrochemical Co., Ltd. located in
Daqing, Heilongjiang province. The whole workshop was destroyed
but no people injured in the accident. The accident didn't cause
any pollution to the local environment.
   According to a person in charge of the refinery, the accident
was caused by the explosion of the hydrocarbon compressor in the
reforming workshop.

Explosion in Yihua Chemical
On June 11th, 2007 gas leakage happened on the top of the heat
exchanger of the synthetic ammonia No. 1 systemetic synthesis
sector in Hubei Yihua Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. (SZ:000422,
Yihua Chemical) in Yichang, Hubei province. Because of abrasion,
the leak gas got exploded and caught fire. Four people injured
in the accident, which caused no death and environmental
pollution.
   There were 3 independent synthetic ammonia-to-urea
production lines with a total capacity of 600 000 t/a, among
which No. 1 system's urea capacity is 100 000 t/a. No. 2 and No.
3 system respectively with a urea capacity for 250 000 t/a were
not influenced by the accident. No. 2 system has resumed
production after a brief suspension. No. 1 system is speeding
to overhaul today.

Explosion in Jiangsu SOPO
On June 11th, 2007 explosion took place unexpectedly in the
bleaching powder concentrated workshop of Jiangsu SOPO (Group)
Co., Ltd. (Jiangsu SOPO) located in Zhenjiang, Jiangsu province.
    Jiangsu SOPO is a company taking chemical as main business
and also stepping into biochemical and material chemistry
fields.

Fire in Yangnong Chemical
On June 10th, 2007 a metal reactor got exploded in a chemical
production workshop of Jiangsu Yangnong Chemical Co., Ltd.
(Yangnong Chemical) located in Yangzhou, Jiangsu province. Two
people injured in the accident.
   Jiangsu Yangnong Chemical Co., Ltd. is a leading pesticide
manufacturer in China.
