Shaowu Yongfei Chemical Starts up Sulfur Hexafluoride Unit

The 600 t/a sulfur hexafluoride unit constructed by Yongjing
Chemical Company affiliated to Fujian Shaowu Yongfei Chemical
Co., Ltd. with advanced technology imported from abroad was
recently started production in Shaowu, Fujian province. The
second phase is expected to be completed in 2008.
   Sulfur hexafluoride is an insulation cooling medium with
popular use in power and electric sectors. Almost all electric
equipment in China has started to use sulfur hexafluoride. The
installed power capacity arranged by the state will be 200
million kW in the next 5 years and the total installed power
capacity will reach 650 million kW in 2010. Sulfur hexafluoride
therefore has a huge space for development.
   As a subsidiary of Shaowu Yongfei Investment Enterprise Group
Company, Fujian Shaowu Yongfei Chemical Co., Ltd. is a
large-scale manufacturer of hydrogen fluoride and fluoride
salts.
