HITACHI Starts up Photosensitive Film Plant in Suzhou

A new photosensitive film plant with a total investment of around
RMB200 million was put on stream in Suzhou, Jiangsu province.
With an annual capacity of 50 million m2 of photosensitive film,
the newly built plant is funded by HITACHI Chemical (Suzhou) Co.,
Ltd., a subsidiary of HITACHI Chemical Co., Ltd. of Japan.
    China has become the largest photosensitive film market
worldwide today. Especially in East China and North China, the
rapid development of electronic industry brings about great
demand growth for photosensitive film. HITACHI Chemical Co., Ltd.
of Japan has set up photosensitive film production bases in
Chinese Mainland, Malaysia, Japan, etc. Meanwhile, the company
owns cutting process bases in Dongguan of Guangdong province of
China, Korea, Malaysia and Holland.
    After completion of the Suzhou photosensitive film plant,
the annual photosensitive film capacity of HITACHI Chemical Co.,
Ltd. of Japan in Chinese Mainland will be increased to 150
million m2 yearly. From now on, Hitachi Chemical Group will
supply high-quality products to the customers in East China,
North China and South China.
