Jinhua Chemical Starts up 30 000 T/A Melamine Project

Sichuan Jinhua Chemical Co., Ltd. (Jinhua Chemical) recently put
on stream its 30 000 t/a melamine unit in Hejiang Chemical
Industry Park, Luzhou, Sichuan province. The unit has
manufactured qualified products and is under regulation and
control today. With a total investment of RMB497 million, the
project is jointly funded by Sichuan Chemical Company Ltd. (SZ:
000155), Lutianhua Group Inc., Sichuan Tianhua Chemical Co., Ltd.
and Sichuan Natural Gas Chemical Co., Ltd. Construction of the
project was started on October 18th, 2005. (CCR2005, No.32) The
project makes use of the high-pressure production process
imported from Eurotecnica of Italy.
   As an intermediate, melamine is mainly used in wood
processing industry. The demand for melamine in China is
increasing constantly today.
