Guizhou Shuicheng Starts Coal Chemical Project

A ceremony for starting the construction of a coal chemical
project in Guizhou Shuicheng Coal Mining (Group) Company Ltd.
(Guizhou Shuicheng) was held in Laoyingshan Town, Zhongshan
District, Liupanshui, Guizhou province on April 18th, 2007. The
project is jointly funded by Guizhou Shuicheng Coal &
Electricity Company Ltd. and Liupanshui Qunlian Industry
Company Ltd.
   The project has a capacity of 600 000 t/a methanol, 300 000
t/a dimethyl ether, 4x50MW co-generation and 900 000 t/a fly-ash
cement. It will be executed in two phases. The first phase will
have a capacity of 200 000 t/a methanol, 150 000 t/a dimethyl
ether and 2x50MW co-generation.
