GITI Kicks off Tire Project in Anhui

On April 26th, 2007 Anhui GITI Sedan Radial Tire Company Ltd.
held a ceremony to start the construction of its 10 million pcs/a
high-performance semi-steel radial tire project in Hefei
Economic & Technological Development Zone, Anhui province. With
a total investment of around RMB2 billion made by GITI of
Singapore, the project is expected to reach the design capacity
in 2010 and add an annual output value of around RMB3 billion
for the company.
   Date back from 1993, GITI of Singapore entered the Chinese
market and set up its first tire manufacturer in Heifei - Anhui
GITI Tires Company Ltd., which owns GITI Industry Park with an
annual output value of over RMB6 billion and becomes the largest
modern tire production base in China today.
