Baling Petrochemical Completes High-Temperature Resistant
Epoxy Resin Unit

By April 28th, 2007 the 1 000 t/a bisphenol A phenolic epoxy resin
unit in the Epoxy Resin Division of Baling Petrochemical Co.,
Ltd. (Baling Petrochemical) produced 9 lots of qualified
products. Users' trial application proves that all quality
indexes of the product meet users' requirements. The pilot unit
was fully completed and started trial production on March 18th,
2007. It can produce 4 product varieties today.
   It is the first high-temperature resistant epoxy resin and
curing agent unit in China. Epoxy resins and curing agents
produced can not only be used in epoxy resin copper-clad boards,
but also in epoxy resin laminated materials, compound materials,
insulation liquid coatings, powder coatings and electronic
component cladding materials with strict requirements on heat
resistance and flame retarding.
   Bisphenol A phenolic epoxy resin can improve moisture
resistance, solvent resistance and environment resistance and
maintain strength, rigidity, electric property and other
properties at ambient temperatures and higher temperatures. The
demand for such high-temperature resistant epoxy resin keeps
increasing in the domestic market.
   The Epoxy Resin Division of Baling Petrochemical is an
important epoxy resin production and research base in China. It
developed high-temperature resistant bisphenol A phenolic epoxy
resin and completed bench tests in 2006.
