Wanda Group Constructs 30 000 T/A MBS Plastic Impact Modifier

Construction on the 30 000 t/a high-performance MBS plastic
impact modifier project funded by Shandong Wanda Chemical Co.,
Ltd. subordinate to China Wanda Group with an investment of
RMB200 million was started in Dongying of Shandong province on
March 16th, 2007. The unit is expected to be put on stream in
December 2007. The capacity of MBS in the company will reach 50
000 t/a at that time.
   Leading products of Shandong Wanda Chemical Co., Ltd. include
MBS plastic impact modifier, diaminodiphenyl ether and
polyacrylamide. MBS is extensively used in the production of PVC
rigid products and especially rigid transparent products. It can
give rigid PVC products good toughening effect and excellent
transparency and also improve their processing behavior. With
the constant demand increase of plastic products, the supply
deficit of high-performance MBS is becoming more and more
serious.
