Nanning Harima Chemical Co., Ltd. Starts up

On March 26th, 2007 Nanning Harima Chemical Co., Ltd. was
completed and put into formal production in Nanning National
Economic-Technological Development Zone, Guangxi of
southwestern China. The company is the largest rosin
deep-processing company in Guangxi. Construction was started in
March 2006. The investment of the first phase is planned for
US$15 million. Covering over 2.3 hectares, the company is
jointly invested by Harima Co., Ltd. and Hyogo Co., Ltd. of Japan.
The 6 000 t/a modified rosin resin capacity will bring about
RMB100 million sales per year for the company. 90% products will
be exported. Nanning Harima has made US$2 million for further
expansion. Nowadays, construction on the primary facilities of
the second-phase project is being conducted. When the second
phase is put on stream at the end of 2007, the output will be
added by more than 2 000 tons per year.
