Yinguang Group Completes HDI Synthesis Section

The HDI (hexamethylene diisocyanate) pilot production line
synthesis section in Gansu Yinguang Chemical Industry Group Co.,
Ltd. was recently completed wet commissioning and produced
qualified products in Baiyin, Gansu province. Trial production
shows that the synthesis section can fully meet the requirements
of the production process.
   The HDI production line is composed of a synthesis section
and a rectification section. Yinguang Group completed the
rectification section in the first half of 2006 and produced
high-quality HDI with a purity of 99.81% on May 23rd of the same
year. The product quality reached the international advanced
level and the product purity is higher than the current
international standard.
   The synthesis section completed by Yinguang Group today uses
the TDI production photochemical technology developed by the
company itself. The full completion of the production line has
extended the TDI industrial chain in the company. According to
experts, the demand of HDI in China is more than 3 000 tons a
year and the domestic market demand has to be totally satisfied
by imports. The successful production of superior-quality HDI
by Yinguang Group will promote the development of the
polyurethane sector in China.
