Zhejiang Huafa Starts up DPM Production Line

A 10 000 t/a biomass degradable plastic material (DPM)
production line was recently completed and put on stream in
Zhejiang Huafa Eco-Tech Co., Ltd. located in Shengzhou, Shaoxing,
Zhejiang province. The company therefore becomes one of China'
s largest supply bases of the materials and products used in the
disposable medical appliances, electrical, food packaging
sectors.
   Biomass DPM is an acknowledged green environmental-friendly
product, which can provide a sound way to solve the "white
pollution" problem. This product is mainly extracted from
agricultural products such as corn, potato and cassava and then
made into biomass DPM products with advantages of regeneration
and biodegradation.
   In the middle of December 2006, Ningbo Institute of Materials
Technology and Engineering and Zhejiang Huafa Eco-Tech Co., Ltd.
signed the agreement on "Biomass DPM Cooperation Intention
Letter" in order to improve the biomass DPM processing
technology and promote the development of biomass DPM industry
in Zhejiang province.
