Hengli Completes Super Brilliant Filament Project

Jiangsu Hengli Chemical Fiber Co., Ltd. (Hengli Chemical Fiber),
subordinate to Jiangsu Hengli Group, announced on January 16th,
2007 that it put the second-phase 200 000 t/a super brilliant
filament project funded by the company with an investment of
RMB1.8 billion on stream in Wujiang, Jiangsu province. After the
completion of the second phase, the capacity in Hengli Chemical
Fiber will be doubled and the output value will be quadrupled.
It will become a world-scale brilliant filament production base
in the world and greatly ease the supply shortage of medium and
high-grade brilliant filaments in the domestic market.
   The second phase was started construction on December 10th,
2005. Hengli Chemical Fiber is mainly engaged in the production
of fiber polyester resin and differential chemical fibers.
