INVISTA Fiber (Foshan) Starts up

On November 1st, 2006 Invista Fiber (Foshan) Co., Ltd. put on
stream in FSPG New Material Industry Park located in Foshan,
Guangdong province of southern China. The company is jointly
invested by Foshan Plastic Group Co., Ltd. (FSPG, SZ: 000973)
and INVISTA Corporation of the United States, respectively
holding 10% and 90% of the total stock capital. With a total
investment of US$128 million, construction of the project was
started on February 28th, 2005. After completion of the 2
production lines in the joint venture, 12 000 t/a spandex elastic
fiber will be produced for making garments, underclothes and so
on.
   INVISTA Corporation of the United States, formerly
subordinated to Dupont Corporation of the United States, is a
leading international manufacture in the spandex fiber industry
and owns a well-known spandex fiber product – Lycar (R). Main
products in Invista Fiber (Foshan) Co., Ltd. are Lycar (R) and
ELASPAN spandex fiber, both of which are well sold.
