CMP Coatings Plant Completed in Shanghai

The 100 000 t/a coatings plant constructed by Chugoku Marine
Paints (Shanghai) Company Ltd. subordinate to CMP of Japan was
completed in Shanghai on November 28th, 2006.
   Besides ship and container coatings, the company also
produces coatings for industrial uses. The new coatings plant
is a modern coatings production facility with advanced
production process, stable product quality and good
environmental friendliness.
   CMP started to supply coatings for China in the 1970s. It set
up subsidiaries in Shanghai in 1993and Guangdong province in
1997respectively. The average monthly output of coatings in its
subsidiaries located in China already reached more than 10 000
tons. The output of container coatings holds a 40% share and the
output of ship coatings holds a 30% share in the Chinese market.
