CITIC Guoan Starts up Lithium Carbonate Unit


On December 23rd, 2006 CITIC Guoan Information Industry Company
Ltd. (CITIC Guoan, SZ: 000839) conducted wet commissioning to
a 5 000 t/a lithium carbonate pilot unit located in East Terrace
Ginar Salt Lake and produced qualified products in Qinghai
province. Production lines located in West Terrace Ginar Salt
Lake will conduct trial run in early January 2007.
    If 5 lithium carbonate production lines under construction
today all start production in 2007 according to the schedule,
the design capacity of lithium carbonate in the company will
reach more than 25 000 t/a.
