Huasheng Completes Electrolytic Aluminum Renovation Project


The 38 000 t/a electrolytic aluminum renovation and energy
conservation project in Hubei Huasheng Aluminum & Electricity
Co., Ltd. started production in Qianjiang of Hubei province on
December 29th, 2006.
   The project has a total investment of RMB280 million.
Shenyang Aluminum and Magnesium Engineering and Research
Institute, China First Metallurgical Construction Co., Ltd. and
China Seventh Metallurgical Construction Co., Ltd. jointly
undertake the construction of the project.
   Advanced technologies such as flue gas purification
technology are adopted, the depth of electrolytic cells is
increased and dry barrier materials are used. After completion,
the project will help the company increase its sales revenue by
RMB760 million a year.
