Huaxiang Chemical Starts Renovation Project


On December 18th, 2006 Huaxiang Chemical Co., Ltd. (Huaxiang
Chemical) held a ceremony for starting construction of its
fourth-phase renovation project in Chenzhou, Hunan province.
Since 1995, Huaxiang Chemical has completed three phases'
renovation projects and reached a capacity of 50 000 t/a PVC
paste resin and 80 000 t/a caustic soda. With a total investment
of RMB350 million, the fourth-phase renovation project is
planned to put on stream in 2008. After completion, the company
is planned to realize a total capacity of 100 000 t/a PVC paste
resin and 100 000 t/a caustic soda and annual sales revenue of
over RMB1 billion. Major products in Huaxiang Chemical include
caustic soda, liquid chlorine, hydrochloric acid and PVC paste
resin, etc.
