New Technology of Manufacturing Propylene Perfluoride

Recently, the high purity propylene perfluoride research item
developed by Chenguang Chemical Research Institute of Haohua
Southwest Chemical Company Ltd. passed approval organized by the
Ministry of Commerce of China and ChemChina (China National
Chemical Corporation). Since 2002, Chenguang Chemical Research
Institute has started this research item, and used several kinds
of new technologies to make the product quality reach global
advanced level. Presently a constant commercial production
capacity has formed with technical and economic indexes meeting
the projected value.
   Propylene perfluoride is one of the most important basic raw
materials for manufacturing organic fluorine-contained
products. It is a basic fluorine-contained chemical used to
produce fluoro rubber, propylene heptfluoride (Halon flame
retardants substitutes) and other many kinds of
fluorine-contained fine chemicals as well as high technology
functional materials. Chenguang Chemical Research Institute is
