4 Pesticides Pass New Product Appraisals

Tralkonykim, clethodim, bromacil and difenoconazole technical
developed by Zhejiang Yifan Chemical Co., Ltd. passed the
provincial new product appraisal sponsored by Wenzhou Municipal
Science and Technology Bureau on December 17th, 2006.
   Tralkonykim technical is synthesized with
2,4,6-trimethylbenzaldehyde as starting raw material through
6-step reactions including condensation, cyclization,
acylation, displacement, decarboxylation and oximation. The
product yield is more than 80% and the average content of
tralkonykim technical is 96.3%.
   Clethodim technical is synthesized with crotonaldehyde as
starting raw material through 6-step reactions including
condensation, acylation, cyclization, displacement, alkaline
hydrolysis/decarbonxylation and condensation. The total
product yield is more than 58% and the content of clethodim
technical is 94%.
   Bromacil technical is synthesized with sodium cyanate,
sec-butylamine, ethyl acetoacetate and bromine as major raw
materials through sec-butylation, cyclization and bromination.
The average content of bromacil technical is 96.4%.
   Difenoconazole technical is synthesized with p-chlorophenol
and m-dichlorobenzene as starting raw materials through 5-step
reactions including etherification, acylation, cyclization,
bromination and condensation. The average content of
disenoconazole technical is 96.4%.
