New Chlorine Dioxide Production Process

Nanjing University of Technology has developed the technology
for the production of high-purity chlorine dioxide. It uses new
processes such as composite reducing agents and high-effect
catalysts to produce high-purity chlorine dioxide gas in low
temperature and low acidity. Absorption by a unique stabilizing
liquid is then conducted to produce chlorine dioxide stable
solution. The process features mild reaction conditions, high
raw material conversion rate, low cost, safe and reliable
operation and high product quality.
   Chlorine dioxide is a new sterilizing agent with high effect,
great safety and convenient storage and transportation. It does
not react with trace organisms and humus in water to generate
chlorinated hydrocarbons and can therefore guarantee the safety
of drinking water. It has been extensively used in the world as
sterilizing agent to replace chlorine and also in disinfection,
sterilization, algae removal, oxidation and decoloring in other
sectors.
