FEP Master Batch

Material Science and Engineering Institute of Beijing
University of Chemical Technology recently developed
polyperfluoro ethylene-propylene (FEP) master batch and also
achieved the commercial production of the product in
collaboration with Zhejiang Juhua Co., Ltd.
   FEP is a copolymer of tetrafluoroethylene and
hexafluoropropylene. It has excellent high-temperature
resistance, chemical property and electric property,
outstanding surface non-stickiness and great mechanical
strength. It has unique advantages when it is used in
protection-free cross-twisted wires in electronic/electric
equipment. All property indexes of the product conform to the
requirements in the electric wire/cable production. The product
has a high market potential and the sales amount of FEP master
batch in Juhua Fluorine Polymer Plant is expected to reach 300
tons in 2006.
