Special-Effect Adsorption Separation Material

Hefei E-Microchem Molecule Materials Technology Co., Ltd.
recently developed a new special-effect adsorption separation
material in Hefei of Anhui province.
According to researchers, 1 kg of active carbon in
conventional adsorbing agents can adsorb 0.65 kg of oily
pollutants on the average. The special-effect adsorption
separation material can adsorb 35 kg of oily pollutants, being
45-50 times higher than active carbon. The ability of adsorbing
nitrobenzene is also 45-50 times higher than active carbon. It
only absorbs oil, not water. It can be floated on water surface
or submerged at water bottom with a special structure for long
time. It can also be recycled several times.
The special-effect adsorption separation material is
produced from agricultural scraps. It can absorb great
quantities of transparent, toxic and hazardous organic solvents
with low viscosity and thin oil layer and over a hundred oily
organic substances. It is suitable for the use in the treatment
of oily pollutants in an emergency.
The company has completed pilot tests and preparations for
commercial production are under way.
