PVA Expansion Project Kicks off in Fujian

On October 19th, 2006, the 60 000 t/a PVA (polyvinyl alcohol)
expansion project (from 30 000 t/a to 60 000 t/a) kicks off in
Fujian Textile and Chemical Fiber Group Co., Ltd. in Yong'an,
Fujian province. With a total investment of RMB220 million, the
PVA expansion project is scheduled to put on stream during
October to November 2007.
   PVA is a water-soluble polymer with various advantages such
as excellent chemical stability and strong solubility. It can
be used as emulsifying agent and dispersant, extensively used
in the textile, paper-making, packaging and pharmaceutical
sectors. As a leading PVA manufacture in China, Fujian Textile
and Chemical Fiber Group Co., Ltd. mainly manufactures chemicals,
chemical fibers and construction materials.
